Major portion of construction work on Malahat wrapping up

A couple of big construction projects in the Cowichan Valley are close to being finished.

The regional manager overseeing construction on the Malahat isĀ Darren Englund.

WorkĀ on the Malahat cost about $8,000,000 and should be completely done by spring of next year.

Meanwhile, North Cowichan’s director of engineering John McKayĀ saysĀ work on Waterwheel Square in ChemainusĀ could be done by the end of the week.

The Waterwheel SquareĀ project cost over $800,000.
