Coastal Conservative MP weighing whether to support Crowder's derelicts bill

Nanaimo Cowichan MP Jean Crowder’s private members bill on derelict vessels will likely come up for second reading in the New Year, and one area Conservative is weighing whether to back his NDP colleague’s legislation.

John Weston of West Vancouver Sunshine Coast is, however, already saying something very similar to Crowder’s argument that there needs to be a clearer picture of who’s supposed to deal with derelicts.


Weston says at this point he still hasn’t read the full text of Crowder’s bill, which was re-introduced at the beginning of the month.
