Residents of Shawnigan Lake will have to continue to wait for a third active fire hall as plans to move ahead with the project have stalled for the time being.
The chair of the Shawnigan Improvement District is Mike Wright.
Wright says the matter is now between lawyers representing the district and the property owner.
He adds he is frustrated because the project has taken years to get to this point and sub-divisions at the south end of the lake continue to be not easily accessible by the two other stations.
