Christmas crisis? Call the Vancouver Island Crisis Line

The holidays can be a wonderful time of year when you have friends and family around.

But for some people, it can be very difficult. There are many who feel more lonely and disconnected around this time of year.

That’s why the Vancouver Island Crisis Society is reaching out to remind people they are always available to lend an ear and offer support.

Heather Owen is the Community Relations Coordinator for the group.

Owen says it’s important for those going through a tough time to reach out.

You can call the crisis line 24/7 at 1-888-494-3888, or reach them online. You can also text a support worker between 6pm-10pm at 250-800-3806.
