Local firms make the semi-finalist list for Small Business BC Awards

Businesses from Duncan and Ladysmith have made the semi-finals in the 12th annual Small Business BC Awards.

Small Business BC’s Rory Beaupre says there are 10 categories, and the public voted for 10 semi-finalists in each.

Averill Creek Winery is nominated for Best International Trade, and Ladysmith’s Coast Salish Development Corporation is up for Best Community Impact,

Beaupre says it’s going to take a bit of work for a business to make the top 5.

That Dragon’s Den style pitch will determine the eventual winners.
The top 5 in each category will be announced January 30th. The Small Business BC Awards are handed out in February
