A note for people planning to catch a ferry New Year’s Day. BC Ferries has cancelled trips on several routes.
Deborah Marshall of BC Ferries says there just aren’t enough travellers to make it worth running the ships.
The routes affected include the Duke Point – Tsawwassen route, where they’re cancelling both the first two and last two sailings.
Other routes, like Crofton – Vesuvius, have even more cancellations.
BC Ferries recommends people check the schedules before heading out.
