Wednesday sailings on Tsawwassen – Southern Gulf Islands route suspended until March

The Southern Gulf Islands are losing BC Ferries service from the Lower Mainland for the next 9 Wednesdays.

The cuts are part of the service reductions that started across the system last April.  And, they’re a bit of a compromise with Ferry Advisory Committees in order to preserve sailings on Saturdays and Sundays.

Brian Hollingshead is the Chair of the Southern Gulf Islands FAC.

Hollingshead says travellers will still have the option of using the Swartz-Bay – Tsawwassen route, and then connecting to the Gulf Islands.
