Youth charged in stabbing at Ladysmith Secondary

Police say a youth has been charged with assault with a weapon after a stabbing at Ladysmith Secondary.

Ladysmith RCMP says a teenager was stabbed on Dec 19, 2014. The grade 12 student was walking through the halls and felt a sharp pain, but initially didn’t realize he had been stabbed in the back. He later discovered a small stab wound and was treated in hospital.

The teen charged has been released and is scheduled to appear in youth court in Duncan on February 26.
