Escaped prisoner surrenders in Nanaimo

The prisoner who escaped in Nanaimo on Christmas Eve has turned himself in.

25-year-old Alexander Trinkwon walked into the Nanaimo courthouse around 11:15am on Wednesday and told an employee that there was a warrant out for his arrest.

Trinkwon’s appearing in court this afternoon to face charges of Escaping Lawful Custody, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Break and Enter Tools, and Break and Enter.
