John Koury is seeking the Conservative Party nomination in the new Cowichan-Malahat-Langford riding for the upcoming federal election.
Koury, a former North Cowichan councillor, was the Conservative candidate for the old Nanaimo-Cowichan riding in the 2011 election.
He says it’s a good time to tune into federal politics because a lot of parties are having their nomination meetings.
Koury says a date is yet to be schedualed for a Conservative meeting for the new riding, but it should happen before the spring.
Former Duncan councillor Martin Barker as well as Jeremy Smyth are also vying for the position.
