One man is in hospital after he was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and Cowichan Way Friday afternoon.
RCMP personnel said they responded to a call of a middle-aged man who was hit in the northbound lanes just after 12 pm.
Police described the injuries as significant.
The highway was closed for approximately two hours.
