Wounded Warrior Run BC kicks off fundraising campaign

There’s just two weeks left before six runners with Wounded Warrior Run BC lace up their shoes and head 600kms from Port Hardy to Victoria. Along the way, they’ll be raising money to support Canadian Forces members suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Channing Knull served 15 years and was released from the Forces in 2000 with PTSD and suffering an occupational stress injury. He’ll be running this year, after helping to coordinate the event last year. He says the team is in training so they’re up for the challenge.

Knull says they’re not just running to support veterans.

The group kicked off their fundraising campaign today in Victoria. Last year their goal was $5000 and they ended up raising more than $25,000.
