Employees of a Cowichan Valley newspaper remain upbeat as a strike drags into its third month.
Peter Rusland is a Cowichan News Leader Pictorial reporter and a member of Unifor, the union representing the 12 employees on the picket line.
Rusland says the striking workers are also concerned about their owner – Black Press – buying the area’s other major paper, the Cowichan Citizen.
The deal could be done on March 2nd, and it’s unclear what it means for the future of the two papers.
