Ladysmith Residents Told to Boil Water Before Using

People in Ladysmith are being told to boil their water.

A boil water advisory has been issued because of turbidity, or fine particles, in the water system.

The advisory affects the town, Stz’uminus First Nation and the Diamond Improvement District.

Residents in these areas need to boil the water for one full minute before using it.

The Town of Ladysmith says the water advisory will be lifted when testing shows that the water supply meets all standards for safe consumption.

The advisory was issued late last night.
