Rock of the Woods appears like it will be happening this summer in Sahtlam, however theĀ future of the indie-rock music festival is uncertain beyond 2015.
The CVRDĀ Board agreed this weekĀ to let theĀ public know, throughĀ local media,Ā that they intend to issue a temporary use permit to the organizers to have the event from July 23rd to 26th.
Vice-Chair Lori Iannidinardo says there were a couple of changes to the original application.
In particular, she saysĀ thereĀ has to be lessĀ people, amplified noise must stop one hour after live music ends and the organizers should lookĀ elsewhere in theĀ CVRD for future events.
Organizers are upset with the whole process and say the success of this year’sĀ festival and its future could be in jeopardy. A final decision on the permit will be made by the Board on April 8th.
