Prime Minister Trudeau asks Governor General to prorogue Parliament

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has asked Governor General Julie Payette to prorogue Parliament.

Trudeau announced Tuesday afternoon that the break will “provide an opportunity” to present a Speech from the Throne on Wednesday, September 23rd.
