A construction project on the Halalt First Nation will mean that Chemainus Road in that location will remain closed for the rest of the week.
The sewer system work is taking place between Mount Sicker Road and Crofton Road and drivers will have to use alternate routes to reach the ferry terminal in Crofton from Highway-1.
The Municipality of North Cowichan says the work is expected to last until Friday.
