VIAHA: There could be stiffer penalties for unruly parents next season

With this season wrapping up the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association is getting set to hand out stiffer penalties for unruly parents next season.

The Association had to bar some parents from games late this season for abusing officials, including some repeat offenders.

League President Jim Humphrey says new measures are going to the Board in April

The VIAHA’s tough stance picked up more support after police called for an assault charge against a 45-year-old man for an incident at a game in Surrey.
