Siebring: Test track in North Cowichan won’t be used for racing

A North Cowichan councillor says people should not be worried about a test trackĀ being builtĀ just north of Highway 18.

Al Siebring says the facility, which is currently under construction,Ā is going to beĀ used to test out high-end cars.

He says there is some confusion as to what will actually be happening at the track…but there shouldn’t be.

The German Auto Import Network of Vancouver Island has been working on the project for the last couple of years…and the track could be completed at some point in 2016.
