Duncan chef vows to continue cooking great food despite missing out on award

A Duncan chef isn’t letting missing out on another prestigious culinary honour…wreck his appetite for pushing out great food.

Dan Hudson’s restaurant, Hudson’s On First, didn’t take home a Vancouver Magazine Award for a second straight year.

He says the category – Best Restaurant on Vancouver Island, Outside of Victoria – is a tough one to win.

Hudson says there was some good news for the Cowichan Valley…as Unsworth Vineyards finished third in the category.
