Three people sent to hospital after crash at Bench Road, TCH intersection

Police say charges could be in the works after three people were sent to hospital with injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Friday just south of Duncan.

The accident happened at the Bench Rd intersection near the Co-op on the Trans-Canada Highway around 9 AM.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP say the collision occurred after a man, driving a Mazda pickup, made a left turn in front of another car, a Hyundai Accent with two older women inside.

The stretch of highway from the Cowichan Bay Road turnoff to the Bench Road intersection has not been good for drivers lately. This is the third accident in the last couple of weeks.
