Ladysmith to go with LEDs for Festival of Lights; Stone is new CVRD rep

Ladysmith has a new Town representative on the Cowichan Valley Regional District Board.

Mayor Aaron Stone has officially taken up the position…one that was held by former long-time mayor and CVRD chair Rob Hutchins.

He says he originally planned to take the Board seat next month, however, it made more sense to do it now.

In addition, Stone says Ladysmith has invested into a switch to LED bulbs for the Festival of Lights. He says the change will help save money and is good for the environment.
