A boil water advisory for the Town of Lake Cowichan has been lifted.
Island Health officials say the water is safe to drink now that turbidity levels are below a level that could be considered harmful.
Parker Jefferson is with One Cowichan, a local conservation group. He says it appears an algae bloom could have been the source of the problem.
The advisory was in place for a little over a week.
