The first 75 homeowners or renters that bring their old showerheads to North Cowichan’s Municipal Hall will be rewarded for it.
Senior planner Brigid Reynolds says a new program is offering a free kit which includes a new showerhead, and two faucet aerators, in exchange for the old fixtures.
She says the free kit is just the tip of the ice berg.
Reynolds says Better Off North Cowichan is aimed at improving energy efficiency, helping people save money and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
