The Island Corridor Foundation says the province’s safety review of a track upgrade plan is moving forward…but there’s no firm timeline.
The review is the last, and possibly biggest, hurdle to returning passenger rail between Victoria and Nanaimo, which was suspended more than four years ago.

Regional Districts, the province and the feds have committed around $20,000,000 to get passenger service up and running again.
