Three Cowichan Valley girls will be player escorts for Women’s World Cup gold medal game

Three young girls from the Cowichan Valley will be player escorts at the gold medal game of the FIFA’s Women’s World Cup in Vancouver.

Rowan Picard, Kaylynn Rowlings and Kennedy Aleck will hold hands with some of the best women’s soccer players on the planet while taking the field at BC Place.

Rowan and Kennedy say they can hardly wait until July 5th.

The Women’s World Cup kicks off this weekend when Canada takes on China.
