Meeting about closed local newspaper taking place in Duncan

People will have a chance on Thursday night to find out more about what happened to the Cowichan News Leader Pictorial.

Peter Rusland worked as a reporter for the local newspaper before it closed down in the beginning of April following a lengthy strike.

He says residents deserve to know what the loss of the paper means to the community.

Rusland says the meeting will include guest speakers and historic items from the paper. It takes place at 7pm at the Duncan United Church.
