Routley says NDP wants wider investigation of gov’t e-mail deleting

Nanaimo North Cowichan MLA Doug Routley says the NDP wants the privacy commissioner to expand a probe into claims Liberal political staff have been deleting e-mails to keep them from being released under FOI.

Routley is the opposition critic for Citizens Services, which handles FOI.

An official in the Transportation Ministry has been suspended with pay while the privacy commissioner investigates Duncan’s claims.
