MLA Doug Routley calling for changes at ICF

Nanaimo North Cowichan MLA Doug Routley is calling for reform at the Island Corridor Foundation.

Routley says the latest report on the long-delayed return of passenger trains to the E&N, and the ICF’s response, show changes at the organization are long overdue.

The report says the $15 million budgeted for track upgrades won’t be enough. But the ICF is arguing the report is based on wrong assumptions.

Routley says it all points to a bigger problem.

Routley says it’s time for the province and the feds to use their position as the major sources of money to push for something like a review committee.
