Duncan VFD investigating two weekend fires

The Duncan Fire Department says a pair of weekend structure fires are under investigation, and potentially suspicious.

Chief Mike McKinlay says one that tore through an abandoned house on 2nd Street Sunday night required crews to demolish the building.

The other fire was on Saturday night, and badly damaged a building under renovations on Festubert Street.

McKinlay is reminding people not to hesitate to call in any possible fire when they see or smell smoke.  Especially with the danger of a blaze spreading quickly in current conditions.
