The Ladysmith Maritime Society Marina will be recognized on Friday for its environmental practices.
The marina will be receiving a Clean Marine BC flag and certification from the Georgia Straight Alliance.

Wilhelmson says the Ladysmith marina has helped bring back Western Purple Martins from the edge of extinction. She says it has also campaigned for solutions to derelict vessels.
