Nanaimo RCMP looking for fresh tips in missing persons case

Nanaimo RCMP are making a fresh appeal for information in the disappearance of Jason Burns.

The 42-year-old vanished from an assisted living residence in the city around May 4th.

His brother Stephen Burns says he suffers from schizophrenia, and it’s unlikely he left to visit someone.

Burns did take anything with him, other than his wallet, and there’s been no activity on his bank account.

RCMP are hoping tips from the public will help them crack the case. If you have any information please call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
