Cowichan Valley moving to Stage 3 watering restrictions

Stage 3 watering restrictions kick in for all local governments in the Cowichan Valley on July 8.

John MacKay is the Director of Engineering Operations for North Cowichan.

MacKay says washing cars, boats, driveways, sidewalks or houses is also prohibited, along with filling pools or hot tubs.

The watering of school and municipal playing fields will be scaled back significantly.
