Crime Reduction Unit hitting Cowichan Valley streets
A Crime Reduction Unit is on duty in the Cowichan Valley for the second summer in a row.
Sergeant Christine Wood with North Cowichan/ Duncan RCMP says the team includes 10 officers.
Along with ensuring they’re visible in the community, Wood says their goal is to pro-actively identify and stop criminal activity.
They’ll be conducting bike and foot patrols, looking for people with outstanding warrants, and doing curfew checks.
