CVRD hosting public meeting to release results of environmental testing near soil dump site

The CVRD and the Ministries of Environment and Mines are set to release results of environmental testing near the site of a controversial contaminated soil dump in Shawnigan Lake.

CVRD GM Ross Blackwell says they want to release the results in the a public meeting so everybody has the same access to the information, at the same time.

Both the CVRD and Shawnigan Residents Association are fighting in court to get South Island Aggregates’ permits to take contaminated soil cancelled.

The meeting starts at 6:30 at the Kerry Park Recreation Centre in Mill Bay.
