Shawnigan Lake RCMP are hoping to have a new place to call home by 2017.
Sergeant Scott Stephen says plans are in the works for a new police station.
He says the CVRD has already set aside some land on Shawnigan Lake Road, across from Frances Kelsey School.
Stephen says they need a more modernized building, with more space, and a cell block…which is something their current station doesn’t have.
