The Protectors of Wildwood are waiting with baited breath to see if the Land Conservancy will accept an offer on the 32 hectare forest in Cedar.
The Conservancy is bankrupt, and has been looking for ways to raise the money to pay off its debts.
The Protectors, which include Conservancy members, recently voted down a bylaw change that would have allowed the sale of Wildwood to private bidders
Jessica Snider of the Protectors says they have been working with the Eco Forestry Institute Society to raise money for their own bid.
Snider says the Conservancy has until late Tuesday afternoon to accept the offer.
