BC Ferries wants to hear from public about future of Gulf Islands sailings

BC Ferries has set the dates for open houses on the future of its main Gulf Islands routes.

They’ll start August 17th on Saturna Island and wrap on September 9th on the Lower Mainland.

“Whether it’s a resident, somebody that commutes to work regularly, a visitor to the island or somebody with recreational property on the island. People have different perspectives and opinions on what’s important to them.”

Ferries is looking to have any changes in place when two new ships – Salish Eagle and Salish Raven – start on the routes in 2017.
