Strong winds in the forecast have the Coastal Fire Centre warning about potential flare-ups, and more smoke from area wildfires.
The change in weather has already resulted in a new smoke advisory for the Cowichan Valley because of the 275 hectare Lizard Lake fire, about 27 kilometres southwest of Lake Cowichan.
The fire remains 20 per cent contained.
