The Ladysmith fire department says a kitchen fire is to blame for forcing residents out of an apartment complex located at 314 Buller Street.
According to Ladysmith Fire, the fire broke out at Heart on the Hill between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m., Saturday afternoon and no one was injured.
Fire crews say the fire was contained to one second-floor suite and no further damage was observed to other parts of the building.
Residents were able to go back in around 5:00 p.m.
