Cowichan SPCA is “Terrier Town” after 27 dogs turned in

The Cowichan and District SPCA has a full house on its hands… after taking in 27 Boston terriers over the weekend.

There are 16 puppies and 11 adults, one male and the rest female.

The SPCA says they came from a breeder who has to get out of the business because of change in family situation.

Branch Manager Sandi Trent says they’ve already had a lot of interest in adopting them, especially with all the attention the puppies are getting. “They are just so cute, and so funny… a terrier is a terrier, whether they’re Yorkies or Pit Bulls or whatever, they’re an energetic breed, they’re a fun breed.”

She also says, however, before adopting any dog it’s important to do some research to make sure the breed is going to be the right fit for your and your family.

Trent says the “cuteness overload”, as they’re calling it, isn’t putting a huge strain on the shelter’s resources at this point, but as a non-profit they always appreciate donations.  Visit their website for more information.
