Search for Missing Man Near Horne Lake Underway

The search continues for 29 year old Jordan Kirchner in an area near Horne Lake on Vancouver Island.

He went missing early Tuesday evening and was last see going into the forest along Horne Lake Road between the Inland Island Highway and Horne Lake.

Jordan was witnessed walking into the wooded area by a friend who is concerned for his health and well-being.

The RCMP, Arrowsmith Search and Rescue, along with other SAR organization on the Island such as Cowichan Search and Rescue, are assisting.

A spokesperson for Cowichan SAR says they plan to participate in the search for Kirchner all weekend if needed.

Jordan is 5 feet 11 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

He is not considered to be a risk to the public and the Oceanside RCMP are asking the public for assistance with locating him.
