Early morning quake shakes Cowichan Valley

You may have woken up to some shaking this morning in the Cowichan Valley as a 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit off the south coast of Vancouver Island. 

According to Earthquakes Canada it happened around 4:00 am 11km east of Saanichton near Sidney Island at a depth of around 52km. 

The USGS reports it was felt in the Cowichan Valley, Victoria, and Vancouver. 

Currently, there are no reports of damage, and none are expected.
