CVRD launches new website to educate public on climate change

The CVRD has launched a new website to help the public combat climate change and find information about drought conditions and current water use restrictions. 

It was formerly known as “New Normal”, but it’s now called “Cowichan Adapts” and aims to put information about climate change in one easy-to-access website. 

CVRD Board Chair Aaron Stone says, “the risk of damage to people, property and infrastructure is higher than ever” and the website is extremely pertinent as “we all work together to establish a culture of climate action.
