3.8 magnitude earthquake shakes east Vancouver Island

You might have woken up to some shaking this morning as another earthquake hit off the east coast of Vancouver Island. 

According to Earthquakes Canada it was a 3.8 magnitude quake and happened at a depth of 57 kilometers about midway between the island and the mainland. 

They don’t expect any damage, and a tsunami warning has not been issued. 

The US Geological Survey reports that the quake was felt as far north as Parksville and south as Sooke.
