Wanted pair arrested in joint North Cow/Duncan – Nanaimo RCMP operation

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are releasing details of the arrest of a pair wanted for a string of break and enters and auto thefts from Nanaimo south to Victoria.

“They had been spotted by Police more than once in stolen vehicles but circumstances related to public safety prevented Police from bringing them into custody,” says Cst. Colin Douglas, the Officer in Charge of the North Cowichan/Duncan Street Crimes Unit.

On Friday September 4th, though, after they were seen on Osbourne Bay Road, in Crofton officers from the North Cowichan/Duncan and Nanaimo RCMP street crimes units and a dog team arrested them without incident.

Charles Hughes and Coriander Cerminara are in custody, on a host of new charges as well charges tied to outstanding warrants.
