Lucky couple in Duncan wins Lotto Max prize

A Duncan couple won a million dollars in the November 19 Lotto Max draw.

Gail and Thomas Hewitt bought the winning ticket at Walmart on Drinkwater Road in North Cowichan.

Once the disbelief and initial shock wore off they called their daughter to share the good news.

The Hewitt’s plan to buy a new car and renovate their kitchen.

So far in 2024, BC lottery players have redeemed more than $126 million from Lotto Max.
