Salt brands from Superstore under recall for containing plastic

Several popular brands of salt have prompted a recall alert from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency because they are contaminated with plastic.

Loblaws is recalling President’s Choice brand Mediterranean Sea Salts and Himalayan Pink Rock Salts, after some batches were found to contain bits of plastic.

The recall applies to the President’s Choice brands in 360 and 390 gram sizes, with all best before dates up to January 17, 2026.

People should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.
