A minor earthquake shook parts of southern Vancouver Island last night.
According to Earthquakes Canada, the 3.8 magnitude quake struck at 9:59 p.m., about 17 kilometers southeast of Victoria at a depth of 40 kilometers.
While no damage or injuries were reported, the quake was lightly felt across the region.
Within an hour, 95 people had reported feeling the tremor, with that number rising to nearly 190 by this morning.
Most rated the intensity as weak, between one and four on a ten-point scale. Emergency Info BC confirmed no expected damage.
 This quake follows two recent tremors near Fort St. John in northeastern B.C.
