Ladysmith man arrested in connection to theft at pharmacy

Police say a 39-year-old Ladysmith man has been arrested following an incident at a Chemainus pharmacy on Tuesday morning.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP Cpl. Krista Hobday says a bottle of methadone was stolen from the Rexall Drug store just after 8am after a man, wearing a mask, jumped over the counter.

She says the suspect ran towards Waterwheel Park after leaving the store, however, employees were able to provide police with some handy information.
